Paralegal

At Abion, an international IP powerhouse with big ambitions we are now looking for a Paralegal to join our legal team in Switzerland.

Are you an IP enthusiast with 3+ years of paralegal experience? We’re looking for a dedicated professional with a preferred bachelor’s degree or paralegal training.

We are seeking an experienced IP paralegal with a proven track record of working in an international environment, either in a law firm or in-house position. You should have strong affinity for technology and experience with IP-related tech solutions, such as IP management software. Additionally, you must be proficient with legal research tools, software, and the Microsoft Suite.

Attention to detail and a results-driven mindset are essential. You should also thrive in a busy, multicultural environment where teamwork and collaboration across jurisdictions are essential.

This role will be reporting into our office in Zurich, however you may be based in any Abion office throughout Europe. For more information on our locations please visit our website.

Fluency in German and business English is essential; additional languages are a plus.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and file trademark and design applications and renewals before the IPI/IGE, WIPO and EUIPO and instruct filings to foreign agents in other jurisdictions.
• Assist in conducting clearance searches
• Organize and maintain IP records, such as trademarks, designs, and patents.
• Monitor and update internal and external IP deadlines for clients.
• Communicate with clients, trademark examiners, and foreign colleagues on IP matters.
• Prepare cost estimates and ensure billing accuracy according to client guidelines.
• Contribute to improving work routines, systems, and processes with the Brand Operations Manager.
